About the role We’re currently seeking a Chemist with hands-on experience to join our high-performing Inorganics team located in the newly built Canning Vale Facility in Perth. This is a technical, laboratory-based role that plays a critical part in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of results to our clients. As a Chemist, you will operate with a high level of autonomy, performing analyses using advanced instrumentation including Autotitrators, Discrete Analysers, SFA, HPLC and other specialised systems. You will take full ownership of your analytical results, provide guidance and mentoring to team members, and you will play an active role in enhancing laboratory processes, efficiency, and quality systems. This is a Monday to Friday role which will initially commence on the 8 am - 4 pm shift each fortnight. There may be a requirement to rotate into the 12 pm - 8 pm shift as required. Key Responsibilities Perform sample preparation and complex analyses, prioritising work by due dates and urgency Interpret and upload results with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring data integrity and compliance Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments to ensure optimal uptime Monitor chemical and consumable stock levels, maintaining 100% availability Train and support junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and capable lab team Assist with documentation, audits, and continuous improvement in line with ISO and WHSE standards About you The ideal candidate will have: A degree in Science (Chemistry or related discipline) 2-3 years of experience in laboratory testing, preferably at trace levels Strong practical experience with Analytical Instrumentation and data interpretation Excellent time management, multitasking, and independent working skills Comfortable managing competing priorities while meeting tight deadlines Clear communicator with a collaborative approach to working within technical teams A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and attention to detail At Envirolab Group, you’ll be part of a supportive team environment led by industry experts.
