We operate two residential boarding facilities in Cairns – AFL Cape York House for Boys (Portsmith) and AFL Cape York House for Girls (Redlynch) – providing a safe and supportive ‘home away from home’ environment for secondary school students from remote communities. Your day-to-day responsibilities would include: Oversee all systems relating to end-to-end management of ABSTUDY process including compliance requirements, streamlining and enhancing travel processes. Providing on-the-job training on travel to Administration Trainees Coordinating student enrolment processes, orientation for boarding experiences, student and family travel, all aspects of community liaison. Actively manage student services and workflow to ensure all reporting is completed within required deadlines. Maintaining regular and positive lines of communication and support to all relevant stakeholders, students and their families, providing the key link between AFLCY House and families. Coordinating and maintaining all student services administration functions and records. CORE COMPETENCIES Certificate III in Business or equivalent experience. Exceptional time management and organisational skills, particularly in relation to managing multiple priorities, tasks and adhering to strict deadlines. Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including the ability to liaise with varying individuals and organisations and develop strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Ability to interact positively and professionally with children/youth whilst maintaining professional boundaries. Cultural competence; proven skills, knowledge and behaviours that are required to plan, support, improve and deliver services in a culturally respectful and appropriate manner. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
