Job description ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for passionate facilitators to deliver fun, engaging, and meaningful workshops that empower school-aged children and young people to give back to their communities. This casual role typically involves one day of facilitation per fortnight during school terms, with the potential for additional days. WHAT YOU WILL DO Facilitate engaging, hands-on workshops across Queensland with primary and secondary school students Be a positive role model and encourage social leadership among young people Support session preparation, including set-up and pack-down and transportation of materials and goods Contribute to program content and continuous improvement of KiP’s services WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR A confident public speaker with the ability to work and connect with groups of school-aged children and young people Reliability, organisational skills, and the ability to lead and deliver hands on volunteering and education sessions independently A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders including teachers, school leaders and charity representatives A flexible and solutions-focused facilitator who demonstrates initiative and adaptability We prioritise candidates with at least one of the following: Lived experience of disadvantage or discrimination Experience volunteering or working for charities Experience working with young people REQUIREMENTS You must hold a current Working with Children Check (Employee) or be prepared to apply for one. ABOUT KIDS IN PHILANTHROPY (KiP) KiP is a not-for-profit organisation that delivers volunteering and educational programs for school aged children and their families, empowering them to take action and create meaningful change to meet the needs of disadvantaged young people around Australia.
