Role Overview: With continued growth, we are expanding our team and offering a highly autonomous, assessment-focused nursing role within the South Australian Criminal Justice System. You’ll deliver consultation, triage and assessment-based care within SAPOL custody settings, supporting detainee wellbeing, contributing to hospital avoidance, and working closely with SAPOL officers and medical practitioners. What You’ll Be Doing Deliver nursing care within scope of practice in line with AHPRA standards Conduct Fit for Custody assessments in collaboration with SAPOL Provide clinical support to detainees and police officers Perform timely and accurate clinical documentation Liaise with GPs and other healthcare professionals Identify and respond to clinical deterioration or incidents Participate in ongoing training and skill development About You You’re an experienced Registered Nurse who is confident working autonomously, comfortable making clinical decisions, and motivated by meaningful, non-traditional nursing work.
