About The Role As a CTP Internal Review Specialist, you will conduct independent reviews of claims decisions under the Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017. Working within Suncorp’s Personal Injury Dispute Resolution Team, you will apply legislation, evidence and clinical or legal expertise to ensure fair and timely outcomes for customers and the business. This role offers autonomy, flexibility and the opportunity to grow specialist capability in a supportive environment. What You’ll Do Conduct independent internal reviews of CTP claims decisions by assessing evidence, applying legislative tests, and determining fair outcomes Prepare Certificates of Determination and clear Statements of Reasons that explain decisions in plain English Apply current legislation, Personal Injury Commission decisions and NSW court outcomes to ensure compliant and consistent decision-making Identify claim trends and contribute insights that support continuous improvement across the claims process Collaborate with stakeholders across claims, legal and medical disciplines to support effective dispute resolution outcomes What You’ll Bring Experience in insurance claims, ideally within the NSW CTP MAIA scheme, applying legislation to real-world decisions Qualifications in Law, Insurance, Medicine, Allied Health, or equivalent professional experience Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation and document clear, well-reasoned decisions Experience in dispute resolution, complaints handling or internal review functions within regulated environments Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and confidence managing complex information Ability to communicate technical findings clearly and empathetically to customers and stakeholders What You’ll Enjoy Access our award-winning Shine platform – your central hub for exclusive perks, wellbeing support, career development, and recognition.
