About The Role The Senior Ethical Conduct Consultant – Anti-Racism is a key role within the People and Culture division, established to support the implementation of significant reform underway to create a public education system free of racism. Operating as a pilot role, it plays a critical part in embedding the department’s Anti-Racism Policy and Racism Reporting Register across the system. As part of the Ethical Conduct Unit and with a dotted reporting line to the Workforce Strategy directorate, the role will work closely with senior leaders in complaint management as well as applying strong project and change management expertise and design-thinking approaches to support the end-user design of the Racism Reporting Register. A key component of the role will be supporting a select number of pilot sites to effectively manage the implementation of the anti-racism policy and the Racism Reporting Register, including assessing workload impacts for complaint managers and site leaders. The role makes a substantial contribution to the state-wide implementation of the department’s ethical standards, merit protection and anti-racism strategies, with a particular focus on strengthening the capability of complaint managers to manage reports of racism in a culturally responsive, appropriate and consistent manner. Qualifications Essential: Nil Desirable: A tertiary qualification in a related field, e.g. Project Management, Public Policy, User Design and evaluation or relevant experience Special conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
