About The Position The City is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to lead and coordinate the Health and Compliance team. This role provides a customer focused approach to environmental health and compliance services, ensuring operational procedures meet all statutory obligations. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled leader with senior environmental health experience to shape community health and safety outcomes, drive compliance, and promote a positive, values-driven workplace. In this role, you will Lead a high-performing team fostering effective working relationships across the organisation Provide expert advice on environmental health and compliance, attend Development Control Unit meetings and facilitate stakeholder consultation Oversee delivery of services, ensuring adherence to legislation, codes, local laws and Council policies Prepare reports, recommendations, and budget submissions for the Executive team, Council and external agencies Resolve stakeholder issues and represent the City in court or the State Administrative Tribunal when required Ensure consistent, professional, and timely communication with residents, businesses and agencies Stay up to date with legislation, industry standards, and emerging trends What We Are Looking For To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate: Strong communication, organisational and customer service skills that will assist you to lead a diverse team.
