A little about the role Reporting to the Territory Director, the Operations Manager plays a vital role in developing and delivering foster and kinship care services, and support services for families and care leavers ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, Key Assets Australia (KAA) standards, Strategy and values. Key responsibilities: Be responsible for the day-to-day management of ACT operations and oversee the implementation of new and establishing services. Provide leadership, guidance, and development to the team managers and Recruitment Panel Manager, ensuring all staff understand and consistently uphold KAA’s values and organisational culture. Provide quality practice leadership, expert case practice advice and decision-making on escalated high-risk cases. Lead and oversee team outcomes by developing mechanisms for monitoring, measuring and evaluating both individual worker and program performance, ensuring a high standard of practice that aligns with KPIs, working closely with the ACT Quality and Service Improvement Lead to ensure compliance. Ensure that significant risks to children, volunteers, staff or the organisation are appropriately responded to, managed and reported. Monitor compliance with all Funding Agreements, ensuring ACT funding requirements, KPIs, referral and placement targets are met, and that all reporting obligations under each Funding Agreement are completed accurately and on time. The base salary for this position is $129,210.64 - $134,288.96 per annum (based of 1.0 FTE) Super Salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum Company Vehicle (& Fuel Card). This is a full-time and permanent position. We’d love to hear from you if you: Bring at least five (5) years’ experience as a qualified practitioner in children and family services, including a minimum of two (2) years working directly with foster carers or in a family-focused counselling or support role. Demonstrate people-leadership, with a minimum of three (3) years’ management experience and a strong record in staff supervision and performance management. Hold strong expertise in child protection and Out-Of-Home-Care with a solid understanding of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices. Communicate with empathy and professionalism, building trust and rapport with people from diverse backgrounds and levels of experience.
