About the Role We’re seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to lead growth across the Canberra market. This role combines new business development and account management , with a strong focus on strengthening existing customer relationships while actively winning new trade and project-based business. Key Responsibilities ● Identify, target, and win new trade, contractor, and project-based customers across Canberra and the ACT ● Leverage existing industry relationships to generate immediate sales opportunities ● Proactively engage electrical contractors, builders, project managers, and key decision-makers ● Manage and grow an existing portfolio of active customers ● Build long-term relationships focused on repeat business and share-of-wallet growth ● Maintain regular customer contact through site visits and face-to-face meetings What Success Looks Like ● Strong ownership and engagement across existing customer relationships ● Consistent revenue growth from both new and existing accounts ● Becoming a recognised and trusted presence within the Canberra electrical trade market Ideal Background ● Minimum 2 years’ experience in a BDM or senior sales role ● Proven track record of winning and growing business ● Experience within electrical wholesale or trade supply is essential ● Supplier-side backgrounds considered (plumbing, HVAC, lighting, or related trade sectors) ● Strong existing network within the Canberra contractor and trade market If you’re a motivated sales professional ready to take on a dynamic and rewarding challenge in Canberra’s electrical industry, we’d love to hear from you.
