What’s in it for you: • Permanent full-time contract • Weekly pay cycle • Based Southern Metro WA - work close to home! • Dual role – Labouring 70%, Truck Driving 30% About this role: The primary responsibility of the Labourer/Truck Driver role is to support our power crew and site operations by assisting with setup and cleanup of work areas, handling and transporting materials, operating basic tools, and maintaining site cleanliness. This position requires adherence to safety protocols, collaboration with team members, and following supervisor instructions to ensure efficient task completion. What your day will look like: • Assist cable laying crews in the set up & hauling of cables in trenches, install TX/RMU’s, streetlights. • Assist in the installation of comms pipe/ducts & pits. • Assist in the setup and cleanup of work areas, ensuring a safe and organized environment. • Perform manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials or equipment. • Operate basic hand tools and machinery as required. • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel. • Operate and drive trucks to transport materials to and from construction sites. • Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and storage. • Complete daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues. • Perform other duties as assigned by site supervisors. • Reporting into the cable laying Team Leader. About you: • Demonstrates reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to completing tasks effectively. • Capable of handling physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and prolonged standing. • Knowledge of safety procedures and commitment to adhering to safety guidelines. • Ability to use hand tools and basic machinery as required for site tasks. • Works well with others, following directions and collaborating to achieve team goals. • Maintains organized work areas and properly disposes of materials. • Able to identify and report issues, such as equipment malfunctions or safety hazards. • Flexible and able to adjust to various tasks as assigned by supervisors.
