Role overview The unit notes the 8A Day Chemotherapy Unit at the Royal Hobart Hospital provides services to patients with cancer or haematological diagnoses. Treatments include chemotherapy, monoclonal antibodies, targeted therapies, supportive therapies (blood products, intravenous antibiotics, antifungal therapy, bisphosphonates), non-malignant haematological procedures, bone marrow aspirate and trephines, venesections, iron infusions, intravenous immunoglobulin. Acute Apheresis is undertaken in coordination with Haematology and other services. Bone Marrow Transplant services include haemopoietic stem cell harvests and infusions; clinical trials are undertaken in the Day Chemo Unit. The unit is seeking a compassionate and experienced ANUM to join the clinical team. The role includes team leadership, coordination, NUM support, support to oncology patients, ensuring timely, safe, and effective care coordination. You will assess symptoms, prioritise patient needs, and escalate appropriately to the multidisciplinary team.
