We are currently seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. Duties and Responsibilities Plan and assist in developing menus in collaboration with management. Estimate food and labour costs and assist with maintaining cost control. Order and manage food supplies and kitchen inventory to ensure adequate stock levels. Prepare and cook menu items, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation. Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation. Discuss food preparation issues with managers, kitchen staff, and service staff. Demonstrate cooking techniques and guide junior kitchen staff. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations. Assist with selecting, training, and supervising kitchen staff where required. Implement appropriate food storage, freezing, and preservation techniques. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment. About You Required Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery. At least 1 year of experience in a busy commercial kitchen. Experience with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques. Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Good teamwork and communication skills. Desired Experience with food costing, stock control, and ordering supplies. Ability to train and mentor junior kitchen staff. Creativity and passion for menu development and presentation. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality food standards.
