Adelaide Oval Ambassador - Volunteer Role (unpaid) Tours and museums play a vital role in ensuring our iconic, world-class stadium can be experienced and enjoyed by visitors from near and far throughout the year. Adelaide Oval Ambassadors support this by conducting stadium tours, providing engaging information to guests, and assisting with the supervision of the Bradman Collection, on loan from the State Library of South Australia. What you need to know As an Adelaide Oval Ambassador you will need to have understanding of the structure and history of cricket and football in South Australia and Adelaide Oval. We will provide you with training and orientation to develop your knowledge and skills. Being an Ambassador with Adelaide Oval enables you to work in an amazing environment with friendly, like-minded people. Tour groups will include general public, school groups or various community groups. Your role as a volunteer may include the following tasks: Delivering interactive, engaging and informative 90 minute and 60 minute walking tours of Adelaide Oval. Move your tour group confidently and safely around the stadium, working flexibly with changes to tour paths as required. Be the excitement initiator at the beginning of each tour - set the tone for an unforgettable adventure for all our guests. Engaging guests and presenting information about the history and development of Adelaide Oval. Supervision of the Bradman Collection as required. And most importantly, collaborating with like-minded team members and having fun! Time Commitment Ambassador shifts are assigned in the month prior on a digital roster, following a survey of your availability. Ambassadors are expected to provide availability to be rostered for a minimum of one shift per week (exceptions for travel, health, etc). Availability will be surveyed for AM/PM/After Hours, 7 days a week. Applications If you would like to express your interest in volunteering as an Ambassador with Adelaide Oval, please complete the below application form. All applicants will undergo a screening process and may include phone and face-to-face interview to ascertain suitability for the role. Applicants will be required to pass screening and provide a Working With Children Check (which can be provided by Adelaide Oval if application is successful) prior to commencing in the role. Ambassadors are required to attend and complete orientation, induction and ongoing on-site training as required.
