Career opportunity working for leader in a global Real Estate company Work as a part of a highly experienced Property and Facilities Management team Melbourne | Land of the Wurundjeri people We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team working with one major client across their office portfolio in the CBD. You will be based onsite at their premier asset in Collins St whilst overseeing a FM managing their other properties. Reporting to the State Director and fully supported by a network of property professionals, you will be responsible for the efficient, cost effective operation, maintenance and development of all services within the assets. Here’s a snapshot of your day; • Manage all technical/engineering services, including mechanical, hydraulic, fire protection, lifts, electrical, building management and security/access control systems. • Development of Strategic Plan such as CAPEX Plan, Sustainability Roadmap, Energy Efficiency Improvement Plan and Plant and Equipment Life Cycle Management • Monitor and report on the operational expenditure of the Asset • Periodically review maintenance and service agreements, prepare accurate specifications and re-tender, as required, to ensure competitive, efficient and cost-effective services are provided at all times. • Risk management compliance and improved sustainability performance • Review engineering services in buildings, providing ongoing recommendations for enhancements. • Ensure the building has a sound plan for asset and lifecycle management • Provide leadership to the FM in delivering technical services for the assigned Portfolio. Here are strengths you’ll possess and the background you’ll need to be successful; • Minimum 5 years experience within engineering/facilities management field with strong focus on sophisticated commercial, A Grade or premium grade assets • Sound knowledge and experience of building services systems, maintenance management, contractual procedures, health & safety compliance and financial control; • Strong technical background in either Mechanical or Electrical services • Exposure and experience within Project Management • The ability to build relationships with stakeholders quickly and manage client expectations • Excellent people and team management skills with ability to communicate and report in clear succinct manner.
