Education at CareFlight For over a decade, CareFlight has been a leader in delivering world-class, evidence-based training. Our highly specialised, practical workshops are delivered by experienced medics and empower a diverse range of participants - from frontline clinicians and local first responders to worksite crews, farm workers, corporate executives and remote communities – to act with confidence and skill in critical, high pressure situations. During our programs participants face realistic, scenario-based challenges, designed to stretch their skills beyond their comfort zone. This hands-on approach builds practical expertise and lifesaving confidence delivering our team’s mission - to ensure that as many people as possible are prepared to step in during life-critical moments and make a difference when it matters most. The Role We currently have an opportunity for Casual Clinical Educators to join our Northern Operations team and champion the CareFlight brand in all community engagements and stakeholder interactions. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Delivery of accredited and bespoke training packages to community groups, commercial clients and CareFlight partners. This will include travelling to remote locations to deliver training. • Run practical simulation-based activities and provide debriefing. • Support the delivery of CareFlight’s training with administration, equipment preparation and set up, as well as clean and pack up training equipment. • Assess learner competency (for accredited RTO courses). • Assist in the evaluation of education packages and courses in conjunction with the education team. • Maintain own clinical and education currency as per the requirements of AHPRA, ASQA and CareFlight policies. To be successful in this role you will have the following: Essential • Current AHPRA registration in medicine, paramedicine or nursing, and maintenance of professional accreditation requirements within the profession. • Minimum 3 years in clinical practice in either Emergency Nursing/Medicine, Remote Area Nursing, Pre-Hospital and Retrieval Nursing/Medicine or Paramedicine. • Experience delivering adult education within a critical care, remote area or pre-hospital environment. • Experience delivering high fidelity simulation-based training and debriefing. • Passionate and dynamic education delivery style which engages learners safely, encouraging interaction and questions. • Ability to problem solve, be flexible, act in a timely manner, and work as part of a resourceful team, including enthusiasm to “muck in” to get the job done. • Willingness to give and take constructive feedback to be the best we can be as an education team. • Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation and interpersonal skills with a variety of audiences. • Readiness and ability to travel to remote locations when required. • Current Australian Driver Licence and competent to drive as needed.
