About us Gundjeihmi Aboriginal Corporation (GAC) works and operates in the beautiful surrounds of World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park, Just 2.5hrs drive from Darwin. GAC was formed by the local traditional custodians, the Mirarr people, to address the cultural, social and economic future of their people, their land and their region. We are seeking a Bininj coordinating to work with our Djurrubu Ranger group, based in Jabiru. Tasks & responsibilities Coordinate and schedule the delivery of the Bininj Ranger work program in conjunction with Mirarr Traditional Owners and external stakeholders. Oversee data management - Collecting field data , uploading and training Lead, mentor and support the Bininj Rangers, including identification of training needs and facilitating training opportunities mentoring, and team development Leads the Bininj team in planning and delivery of areas of weed, fire, feral animal, cultural heritage and biodiversity management completing annual outcomes Weekly reporting on work program and outcomes Qualifications & experience Experience working in a senior role in an Indigenous ranger program Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in cross-cultural environments Good organisational and communication skills NT Drivers license (Essential) First Aid (or willingness to obtain) Conservation and Land Management or Cultural Heritage or other relevant qualifications (desirable) For the full position description please contact Charlotte O'Mahony mirarr.net / 08 8979 2 Applications should include a cover letter and resume.
