We’re seeking a compassionate and capable Outdoor Learning Program Nurse to join our Outdoor Learning team on a casual basis. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for a qualified nurse to combine clinical care with the enriching experience of outdoor education. As the Outdoor Learning Program Nurse, you will play a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of students during school camp programs. You’ll accompany students on camp, often in remote or outdoor settings and provide hands-on healthcare, emotional support, and health education. From treating minor injuries to managing chronic conditions and responding to emergencies, you’ll ensure every student feels safe, supported, and cared for away from home. This role is perfect for a nurse who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working independently, and is passionate about supporting young people. Key Responsibilities: Attend and accompany students on school camps, including overnight stays. Provide first aid and respond to medical incidents. Manage chronic conditions and individual health needs. Liaise with parents and communicate health concerns. Support and advise camp staff on student medical issues. Handle and document medication administration. Maintain first aid supplies and medical equipment. About You Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Qualified Registered Nurse registered or enrolled Nurse with medication competencies, with the AHPRA. Bachelor of Nursing or other equivalent Health related degree. Experience in a similar environment or in a paediatric or accident/emergency setting. Current First Aid Certificate. Current drivers’ license. Current police check dated within the last 6 months. Current Working with Children Check and the right to work in Australia.
