Position: Newsagent Sales Job Description: We are: Monday - Saturday Open 9am to 5pm Closed Public Holidays Sell Lottery Products, Go Cards, Gifting and Newsagent lines. $33.19 an hour - Casual Qualifications Newsagent experience preferred Being a friendly, considerate person with a real passion for great customer service High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines. Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy packages 16KG. Work as part of a team to deliver the best possible service and solutions to our customers Police clearance will be required to work in this role. Looking for a long-term position You are willing to learn new skills or expand your current skill-set with further training and development Tasks & responsibilities Performing customer sales and service transactions with individual and business customers Managing & maintaining high value transactions accurately – which includes handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities Promoting and processing a broad range of financial agency transactions through Australia Post's technology systems Accepting mail items for lodgement, and accurately assessing any applicable charges Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance Assist with the provision of on-the-job training to new employees where required Preparing outward mail for dispatch – including presentation and the cancelling of stamps Receiving & Sorting Incoming Mail, including delivery to post office boxes; Other duties as directed.
