Position: GP Practice Manager Position Type : Full-Time Salary: $80,000 to $100,000 plus superannuation per annum Location: Toowoomba QLD 4350 Our client is seeking GP Practice Manager to join their team located in Toowoomba, Queensland. As a GP Practice Manager you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the general practice operations based in Toowoomba, including both in-clinic consultation services and telehealth service delivery. The GP Practice Manager oversees all non-clinical operations, ensuring efficient service delivery across digital and in-person platforms, regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, and a high standard of patient care experience. The role works closely with the practice owner, medical practitioners and administrative staff to support a professional, compliant, technology-enabled and patient-focused healthcare environment. The GP Practice Manager is accountable for the effective planning, organisation and control of non-clinical operations of the practice. The business operates within a regulated healthcare environment with hybrid digital and in-person service delivery. Accordingly, the role requires structured operational management, financial oversight, compliance governance, staff supervision and strategic coordination to ensure the ongoing efficiency, regulatory compliance and sustainable growth of the practice. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management ·Plan, direct and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the GP practice, including in-clinic and telehealth service delivery ·Ensure efficient patient flow, appointment scheduling, and administrative processes across digital and in-person consultation models ·Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures ·Monitor service performance and implement process improvements ·Lead and contribute to strategic planning, business development initiatives and expansion of digital health services 2. Staff Leadership and Human Resources ·Supervise and support administrative staff ·Oversee recruitment, onboarding and performance management processes ·Prepare and manage staff rosters in accordance with operational demands ·Provide leadership and promote a professional and compliant workplace culture 3. Financial Management ·Oversee private billing, telehealth billing systems, DVS (where applicable), and revenue reconciliation ·Develop and monitor budgets, income projections and expenditure forecasts ·Ensure compliance with healthcare funding and billing frameworks, including Medicare requirements where applicable ·Liaise with external accountants regarding financial reporting and compliance obligations ·Implement financial controls and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability 4. Compliance and Governance ·Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare legislation, AHPRA standards, privacy laws and telehealth practice requirements ·Maintain accreditation standards in accordance with RACGP and relevant accreditation bodies (e.g., AGPAL / QPA), where applicable ·Develop and maintain governance documentation, internal policies and risk management frameworks ·Coordinate audits, accreditation processes and regulatory reporting 5. Systems and Technology Management ·Oversee the use, optimisation and security of practice management software and telehealth platforms ·Manage relationships with IT providers and digital health service vendors ·Ensure secure handling of patient information, including compliance with My Health Record and data protection requirements ·Support implementation of system upgrades and digital workflow improvements 6. Quality Improvement and Stakeholder Liaison ·Monitor KPIs and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives ·Manage patient feedback, complaints and escalations professionally ·Liaise with external stakeholders including accreditation bodies, service providers, accountants and regulatory agencies. Requirements: ·Minimum of AQF Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification ·Minimum of at least three (3) years’ experience in a Health Practice Manager or equivalent healthcare management role ·Demonstrated experience overseeing healthcare billing systems, financial management and regulatory compliance within a medical or healthcare setting ·Proven experience managing staff and coordinating operational functions ·Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills ·High level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
