Engineering Technologist – Williamstown North VIC Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are assisting a designer and manufacturer of high-quality, sustainable tiny homes. Our client specialises in innovative, energy-efficient, and transportable housing solutions that comply with Australian building codes and engineering standards. With continued growth and increased project demand, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Engineering Technologist to join the productive and busy team. · Salary: Offered in the range of$75k to $85k plus superannuation per annum. · Tenure: Full-time and ongoing · Location: Williamstown North, VIC Your key responsibilities will include: Develop and refine structural and mechanical designs for tiny house frames and trailer systems Conduct engineering calculations for load-bearing capacity, structural integrity, wind classification, and transport compliance Prepare and review technical drawings, CAD models, and documentation Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, NCC, and relevant state regulations Liaise with builders, fabricators, suppliers, and certifiers to ensure accurate implementation of designs Assist in prototyping, testing, and quality control processes Identify opportunities for material efficiency and design improvements Prepare technical reports and documentation for council approvals and engineering certification Provide technical support during manufacturing and onsite installation phases To be considered for this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following attributes: A highly relevant bachelor’s degree in engineering or a higher qualification. At least three years’ experience (preferably more) in a discipline closely aligned in engineering design, structural systems, prefabricated construction, modular housing, or similar industries. Strong communication skills to ensure professional and effective client interactions. Excellent time management skills. Well-developed, verifiable people management capabilities. The ability to work effectively under pressure. High-level technical skills relevant to the role, including well-developed systems skills. Experience conducting structural calculations and preparing technical reports. Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC requirements. You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
