Working between our IWC clinic and the Friendly Society Private Hospital with core hours between 7am-5:30pm to cover annual and unplanned leave as required. Role Overview: As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your responsibilities will include: Patient Interaction: Greet patients and other callers professionally and courteously. Assist patients with appointment scheduling. Administrative Tasks: Manage medical records confidentially and efficiently. Process patient payments (cash, Eftpos, direct billing). Invoice Medicare, Private Health Funds, TAC/CTP, DVA and Workcover. Handle internal emails and inquiries. Maintain a tidy reception waiting area. Collaboration: Work autonomously and as part of a team. Communicate with referring doctors and hospital staff courteously. Confidentiality: Maintain patient personal and financial information confidentiality. Qualifications and Skills: Excellent communication skills. Intermediate computer skills (knowledge of medical software and Microsoft Office Suite).
