About us An excellent opportunity exists for a friendly, reliable, efficient and self-motivated individual to join our ever growing ophthalmology practice in Midland to assist with reception and administrative duties, along with some patient pre-testing. This is a full time position, 5 days a week (Monday to Friday). With multiple doctors covering different ophthalmic sub-specialties, we are a comprehensive provider of eye care and surgery in the local area, servicing both local and regional patients. Qualifications & experience Previous relevant medical reception, administrative and/or patient testing experience highly regarded but not essential. On the job training will be provided Ability to cope with high volume patient flow and to prioritize daily schedules to maintain a smooth workflow is a must Team focused mindset with the willingness to support clinicians and colleagues High attention to detail and multi-tasking is essential Able to show compassion with emotional and intelligent patient interaction Resilient and adaptable Seamless communication with all clinicians, staff members and management Proven ability to use initiative and problem solve issues that may arise Tasks & responsibilities Administrative duties including but not limited to; reception, answering and managing phone enquiries and emails, updating and maintaining accurate patient records, responding to and dealing with patient referrals, end of day banking Scheduling a variety of appointments, including surgery bookings requiring 100% accuracy Providing exceptional customer service to patients and other third parties; face-to-face, over the phone and via electronic communication Ability to work collaboratively in a team orientated environment Perform patient testing including but not limited to; visual acuity, visual field tests, biometry, IOPs, OCT scans and photos as required Information Easy access via public transport Career progression opportunities and ongoing professional development Rostered work days required: Monday to Friday, with variable start and finish times ranging from 8am to 6.30pm, so flexibility is essential Please include a cover letter addressed to Vicky listing your qualifications and relevant experience with your application.
