Roster: Monday to Friday Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, this role is accountable for the coordination of materials and logistics activities for Operational Projects. Working in collaboration with project teams, internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that the materials process is optimised for the safe, efficient and effective management of materials and transport requirements. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support the Perth-based Materials and Logistics team, providing operational leadership across multiple projects and operational workstreamsManage materials planning, purchasing, and reporting activities using SAP, Fiori, MDO, and related platformsWork closely with site-based materials teams to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of project and operational materialsReview project MTOs, procurement strategies, transport requirements, and material reporting processes to drive efficiency and cost optimisationDevelop and maintain strategic vendor relationships to ensure reliable supply, specification compliance, and optimal asset and material performanceExpedite materials in line with project RBDs and action ad hoc operational requests, including safety-critical materials, machinery, MHE, vehicles, buildings, and infrastructure assetsEnsure compliance with Fortescue terms and conditions, manage departure registers, resolve QA issues, and maintain material specification integrity through SAP updates and stakeholder engagementIdentify and deliver cost-saving and value optimisation initiatives in collaboration with internal teams, including category specialists, inventory, warehouses, BVCS, disposals, and sustainability functionsSet, review, and manage KPIs for Materials & Logistics performance, ensuring accountability, capability uplift, and consistent delivery outcomes. Qualifications And Experience Certificate in Logistics and Supply management desired7 – 10 years in a similar role with SAP and materials procurement experienceUnderstanding of site work in materials management and associated construction activitiesStrong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage with & communicate effectively across multiple business units and functional areasAdvanced user of Microsoft office suite, excel (mandatory).
