Finsbury Green is hiring a Software Developer to help extend the in-product AI capabilities of Bridge — our enterprise platform supporting supply chain, logistics, and e-commerce integrations. This is a hands-on role building production-grade AI agents and the safe tools they use to take actions in a real multi-tenant business system. The focus is practical engineering: correctness, permissions, traceability, and systems that are hard to break. What you'll work on AI agent features : defining agent capabilities, runtime lifecycle/state, and action workflows. Tool development (backend) : building new agent tools with clear contracts, validation, bounded inputs/outputs, and predictable result shapes. Safety boundaries : permission checks, tenant isolation, safe handling of untrusted AI outputs, redaction/sensitivity rules, and guardrails to prevent bad actions. UI API integration : wiring agent features into the product UI and ensuring a clean, reliable integration between frontend and backend. Quality : unit/integration tests, small reviewable pull requests, and keeping docs aligned with shipped behaviour. Tech stack (high level) Backend : modern .NET/C# , SQL databases, background jobs, messaging/integration patterns Frontend : Angular/TypeScript Dev practices : Git, code review, CI/CD, testing, and production diagnostics/observability (We'll teach you the platform specifics — we care more about strong fundamentals and the ability to learn.) What we're looking for Solid fundamentals: APIs, databases, debugging, and clean code habits Comfortable in C# or TypeScript (and willing to learn the other) Academic or personal project experience in C# and TypeScript is acceptable to demonstrate programming competency You like building systems with constraints : validation, permissions, tests, and safe defaults Curious about practical AI: tool calling, reliability, and how to make AI features safe in production 1-2 years of software development experience Software development experience may include commercial work, internships, personal projects, and academic work Must have Australian work rights Nice to have (not required) Any SaaS experience (especially multi-tenant) Background jobs, queues, or messaging systems Security-minded engineering (auth, permissioning, data handling) Any exposure to AI tool calling or production AI integrations How we work We ship with guardrails : strong permissions, predictable tool behaviour, and full traces for debugging. We prefer small, reviewable PRs , backed by tests and clear docs. You'll get mentorship and real ownership — without being thrown into the deep end alone.
