We are seeking an experienced, committed, reliable and motivated dental assistant to join us in our friendly privately owned dental practice in Canungra. For the right candidate, the role can range from casual hours to part-time or full-time opportunities. We are very active in the community, being a small regional township, our staff strive themselves on knowing patients one-on-one and providing tailored treatment options. The role: Our vacant dental assistant/receptionist role will entail the following duties: Dental Assisting duties Reception duties Patient records and appointment management Light clinical cleaning and maintenance duties The practice offers a wide range of procedures and different modalities of patient care; we are very interested in your development and progression in this career. Ideal candidate: Will have 3 years of clinical dental experience Knowledge of general dentistry a must. Implants, oral surgery and orthodontic knowledge is highly regarded. Sound knowledge in post operative complications/care with the ability to triage patients appropriately We are progressive, friendly and work on building our staff to their capabilities. The Ideal candidate will possess the following: Dental Knowledge: Understanding of dental terminology, anatomy, and treatment planning. Experience in a treatment room setting - A must. Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to explain dental treatments clearly. Autonomy and Efficiency: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Technical Proficiency: Proficient in dental software and practice management systems. General computer literacy, including Microsoft Office. D4W experience is highly regarded. Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills. Professional handling of patient inquiries and concerns. Teamwork and collaboration: Effective teamwork and collaboration skills. Willingness to support team members as needed - looking after each other, the team and your workplace.
