The Position CEA Technologies is seeking interest from penultimate and final year students who may be interested in participating in our 2026-27 Engineering Work Experience Program. Our 12-week (internship) program is designed to provide students with opportunities to contribute across a wide variety of specialisations, and offer meaningful insights in to the life of an Engineer. Each participant contributes to the design, development and manufacturing of technology in a highly supportive and collaborative environment, while being guided by highly experienced subject matter experts. CEA offers work experience across a variety of engineering disciplines: Hardware - Electronic circuit design, testing, and integration. Mixed signal systems (analog and digital), FPGAs, HDL (System Verilog), signal processing. Software - Software design, implementation, integration and test. (GUI-based desktop applications and embedded systems.) Radiofrequency - Design, measurement, documentation, and research, in RF/Microwave and analog electronics engineering. Cryptography - Design, implement, and verify mathematical techniques for protecting sensitive information used and collected by complex military systems. SARG (System Analysis and Research Group) - System performance modelling/evaluation and analysis of radar system data. Providing processing algorithms and engineering analyses and solutions spanning multiple engineering disciplines. Placements are only offered in Canberra, ACT. As such, interstate students will be required to relocate and source their own accommodation and transport for the duration of the placement period. Work placement positions require students to access equipment and data that is subject to U.S International Traffic and Arms Regulation (ITAR).
