You'll have the opportunity to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that patient needs are met in the home setting. This position will be Monday to Friday roster, day shift only based at Maitland Hospital. Support will be provided by a senior member of the occupational health discipline as well as operationally by a nurse unit manager. Comprehensive orientation and training will be provided at the commencement of the role, including access to the My Health Learning portal for education and professional development. Additional professional development opportunities are also possible within the Hospital in the Home specialty. Where You’ll Be Working The Hospital in the Home program provides hospital-level care in patients' homes, supporting acute wards and alleviating pressure on hospital beds. Our team, including occupational therapists, physio, nurses and doctors, manage both home-based treatment and prescriptions of care. This integrated approach ensures seamless care across hospital and home settings, enhancing patient outcomes and efficiency.
