What You'll Be Doing Practicing and promoting safe, efficient and effective nursing care for people experiencing mental health problems that reflect current National practice standards for mental health, current standards of nursing practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures. All nursing positions are expected to be able to work across all components of the mental health service including inpatient and community-based services. About The Role Working as a casual community Mental Health Nurse will include relief cover and casual shifts within our community team, this could include working our acute care service provision and or our longer term care provision for persons with long term mental health care needs. The role could include but not limited to undertaking mental health triages, assessments, completing co-produced treatment plans, and working towards recovery goals. There may be times when it will include administering long-acting depot injections in the Depot Clinic and may include relief cover in the Clopine (Clozapine) Clinic. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated and recovery-oriented care. Work in partnership with service users, carers, and families to ensure holistic, least re-strictive, culturally safe care is provided.
