Experience with the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in similar roles is highly desirable, but we also encourage applicants with relevant Local Government or Private Sector experience.Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance: Perform detailed site inspections to ensure roadworks adhere to TMR standards and project specifications.Contract Compliance: Interpret and enforce contract documents, technical specifications, and construction plans, ensuring all project activities align with contractual obligations.Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones, document inspection findings, and report any issues or delays to keep projects on schedule.Safety and Risk Management: Identify and address potential risks, enforcing strict compliance with safety protocols and legislative requirements.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve high-quality, customer-focused outcomes.Desired Qualifications and Skills:Certification: Cert IV (or equivalent) in Civil Construction, Project Management, or a related field.Relevant Experience: Previous experience as a Roadworks Inspector in TMR projects is ideal. Local Government or Private Sector experience in road construction and maintenance is also highly regarded.Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and able to use project management software effectively.Ideal Candidate Profile:Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.Knowledgeable in contract administration with a solid ability to interpret technical plans and specifications.A proactive, collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and a dedication to quality and safety.
