About Us Isabella State School is located on Walker Road in Edmonton, just south of Cairns. The school opened on 29 January 2007 and has continued to grow. We now have approximately 500 eager learners from Prep to Year 6. We provide supports which cater for the individual needs of all students. About The Role Responsibilities include, but not limited to; Deliver comprehensive student support services including advocacy, counselling, psychoeducational assessment, and tailored advice for students, parents, and staff across educational, behavioural, mental health, and career domains.Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to build strong partnerships with families, school personnel, and external agencies, ensuring coordinated case management, referral processes, and improved student access and engagement.Assess and plan targeted interventions through observation and formal assessment to identify learning difficulties, disabilities, developmental or emotional needs, and develop appropriate adjustments, individual plans, and behaviour support strategies.Provide specialised guidance and crisis leadership including student protection, critical incident response, intensive behaviour support, transition planning, and reintegration into educational settings, as well as Senior Education and Training (SET) and pathway counselling in secondary contexts.Maintain ethical and professional standards by balancing confidentiality with appropriate information sharing, ensuring compliant record-keeping, and engaging in ongoing professional development while delivering training and capacity-building for school communities.
