About the Role We are currently seeking a qualified and talented Chef for a full-time position to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role is responsible for the development and smooth operation of kitchen services, including menu planning and costing, organising special events, creating new dishes, maintaining food quality standards, and ensuring comprehensive product knowledge. The successful candidate will oversee the quality and presentation of all restaurant offerings in line with standardised menus and staff training guidelines. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook high-quality meals Portion and present dishes to reflect a premium dining experience, including appropriate garnishes, condiments, and sauces Assist in developing new menu items and seasonal specials Contribute to menu planning and costing Develop, implement, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for kitchen operations Ensure consistent quality standards and timely completion of maintenance requirements Maintain cleanliness and organisation in both front-of-house and back-of-house areas, including implementing cleaning schedules and checklists Contribute ideas for special events and functions, encouraging team collaboration Monitor production standards to ensure quality and consistency Interact professionally with customers, team members, and suppliers, reflecting positively on the brand Skills & Experience Relevant cookery qualification preferred, with at least 1 year of relevant experience Advanced knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices Strong and precise knife skills Experience working with pans and grills Knowledge of a variety of cooking methods Ability to assist with planning and executing menu specials Flexibility to work evenings and weekends Strong teamwork and communication skills Salary $70,000 – $80,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications, skills, and experience.
