BRAND MARKETING DESIGNER Junior–Mid Level Brand Marketing Designer (Casual, 2 days per week) Be the Creative Engine Behind Our Brands Position Overview The Brand Marketing Designer is responsible for delivering high-quality, on-brand visual assets across both In The Deep (swim school) and Waterlings (children’s swim products). This role focuses on consistent execution, timely delivery, and maintaining visual integrity across all digital and print touchpoints. What This Role Looks Like You will: • Create scroll-stopping social media content (Instagram, Facebook, reels graphics, etc.) • Design seasonal campaigns and promotional materials • Develop email templates and digital ad creatives • Create landing page and website graphics • Design flyers, posters, signage, brochures and event materials • Edit and optimise product, program and brand photography for both brands • Support internal communications visuals (announcements, training materials, signage, etc.) • Maintain consistency across both brands while delivering high-quality assets within agreed timelines • Work closely with the CEO & Founder and the Leadership Team to bring campaigns to life You’re a Great Fit If You Are: Curious & Love to Learn - You take feedback well and continuously refine your craft No Drama - You’re professional, organised, and meet deadlines without chaos Reliable with Grit - You deliver consistently and take pride in quality control Relatable - You understand our audience — parents, families, community — and design with them in mind Positive Attitude - You enjoy playful, water-themed branding and creating content that feels warm, premium, and engaging Role Suitability This role may not be suitable for individuals who: • Want a strategic brand director role • Prefer to reinvent brand systems rather than execute them • Need heavy day-to-day direction • Don’t enjoy fast-paced social content creation • Prefer highly corporate or edgy design styles Must-Haves • 2–4 years Brand Marketing Design or equivalent role experience • Availability for 2 fixed weekdays per week (non-rotating schedule) • Own professional-grade laptop capable of running Adobe Creative Suite efficiently (MacOS preferred) • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Canva – company subscription provided • Reliable high-speed internet suitable for remote collaboration and large file transfers • Commitment to child safety and privacy standards when creating or handling student content • Strong portfolio demonstrating clean, playful, premium design aesthetic • Strong photo editing skills • Experience with social media content creation • Digital print design experience • Basic short-form video editing (Reels style) • Understanding of marketing and conversion principles • Ability to manage multiple deadlines • Strong technical proficiency, confidence using MacOS, and ability to troubleshoot routine issues independently • Ability to work autonomously, manage time efficiently, and deliver high-quality work within limited weekly hours Nice to Have • Basic motion graphics • Experience supporting multiple brands • Swim, baby, or family-focused industries • Basic analytics understanding • Copywriting skills • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) Employment Details Position Type: Casual Hours: 2 fixed weekdays per week (approx. 14–16 hours total) Location: Primarily remote (work from home).
