Our Client is seeking an experienced Business Architect to play a critical role in aligning strategy, operating models, capabilities, processes and technology investments to deliver measurable organisational outcomes. About the Role Reporting to the Enterprise Architect within a central ICT function, the Business Architect will lead the development and governance of business architecture across the organisation. Working under limited direction, you will partner with ICT, business and executive stakeholders to shape transformation initiatives, strengthen service delivery and support strategic investment decisions. This role will act as a key interface between business and ICT, ensuring business needs are translated into structured architecture artefacts and actionable roadmaps. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Alignment Translate organisational and ICT strategies into structured business architecture artefacts. Develop and maintain the enterprise business capability model. Define business architecture principles aligned to strategic priorities. Provide architecture input into strategy development, roadmaps and investment planning. Map and rationalise the application portfolio against business capabilities. Business Capability Management Establish and govern a capability-based planning approach. Assess capability maturity and identify uplift opportunities. Align capabilities to programs, products and value streams to enable outcome-focused delivery. Process Improvement & Innovation Lead end-to-end business process analysis to identify gaps and improvement opportunities. Assess technology, automation and digital opportunities to enhance efficiency and service delivery. Develop high-level future state process designs and value stream maps. Identify impacts across governance, roles and operating models. Portfolio & Investment Support Provide business architecture input to projects and business cases. Assess initiative alignment to target architecture. Identify duplication and rationalisation opportunities. Support enterprise roadmap sequencing and dependency analysis. Stakeholder Engagement & Governance Facilitate workshops to define capabilities, value streams and operating model impacts. Communicate complex architectural concepts in clear, accessible language. Contribute to Architecture Review Board and assurance processes. Maintain architecture artefacts within enterprise repositories.
