Description Job Summary The Human Resources Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of HR services and supervising HR team members to ensure effective, compliant, and consistent HR operations. The role provides operational employee relations and industrial relations support, including assisting with union engagement and enterprise bargaining activities, within the Australian employment framework. Key Responsibilities HR Operations & Service Delivery Supervise the delivery of core HR activities including onboarding, offboarding, employee records management, and HR administration. Ensure HR processes are executed accurately, consistently, and in compliance with company policies and Australian employment legislation. Act as an escalation point for HR operational queries from managers and employees. Support continuous improvement of HR processes, systems, and service delivery. Industrial Relations & Union Support Support enterprise bargaining activities under the direction of senior HR leadership, including preparation of documentation, data analysis, and employee communications. Assist with union consultations, meetings, and correspondence as required. Support interpretation and application of Enterprise Agreements, Modern Awards, and employment conditions. Assist with dispute resolution activities and ensure appropriate documentation and record-keeping. Coordinate logistics and compliance requirements related to bargaining and consultation processes. Employee Relations Support Provide advice to managers on routine employee relations matters including performance management, attendance, conduct, and policy application. Support investigations, disciplinary processes, and grievance management under guidance from senior HR. Ensure Employee Relations cases are managed consistently, fairly, and in line with policy and legislative requirements. Team Supervision & Capability Development Supervise, coach, and develop HR Coordinator. Allocate workloads, monitor service levels, and ensure timely completion of HR activities. Support onboarding and training of HR team members. Foster a high-performance, service-oriented HR team culture. Policy, Compliance & Governance Support implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures. Ensure accurate HR documentation and record-keeping in line with legal and organisational requirements. Assist with audits, compliance reviews, and reporting as required. Reporting & HR Projects Prepare routine HR reports and metrics for management. Support HR projects and initiatives led by the Country HR Manager. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and HR service delivery. Key Qualifications Degree or diploma qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline. 5-8 years’ experience in an HR Generalist/Business Partner or HR operations role. Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards, and HR compliance requirements. Prior experience supervising or mentoring HR team members. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and stakeholder service orientation. Desirable Experience supporting unionised workforces or award-based environments. Exposure to enterprise bargaining support activities. Experience working with HRIS systems and HR reporting. AHRI membership or working towards professional accreditation.
