About the role Come work in our busy production kitchen, a cook fresh facility producing 60,000 meals each month. Be part of our dedicated team of 40 kitchen staff working together to produce high quality meals for patients. Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to dietary requirements and recipes Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict hygiene standards Create and test new recipes, contributing to menu development Manage food inventory and ensure proper storage Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Report to the Kitchen Supervisor, with them reporting to the Head Chef About you Commercial Cookery certificate III 2 years’ experience in large volume food production in a kitchen production unit An understanding of typical food production requirements in a regulated environment Sound knowledge of health and safety practices in a commercial kitchen environment A team player experienced in working in fast-paced environments Able to commit to these ongoing shifts: 64 hours a fortnight (will not suit student visa) We would ideally like a Senior Chef with a strong background in bulk cooking, who is passionate about delivering high-quality meals in high-volume settings. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and WHS (Workplace Health and Safety) protocols, ensuring food safety and a safe working environment at all times. This role is ideal for someone who is not only confident in managing large-scale kitchen operations but also eager to take the next step in their career.
