Potential to extend Our client, a well-regarded national not-for-profit organisation, is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Wellbeing Officer to lead and strengthen a proactive safety culture across the organisation. This is a key standalone role partnering closely with leadership to provide specialist WHS advice, coaching and practical support to ensure compliance, continuous improvement and a strong wellbeing focus. About the role Reporting to the Manager, People & Operations, you will: Lead implementation of the organisation's WHS strategy and annual plan Develop, review and embed safe work procedures and policies Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations and compliance audits Manage WorkCover claims and return-to-work programs Coordinate emergency management processes and workplace inspections Deliver WHS training and toolbox talks Support psychosocial risk management and employee wellbeing initiatives Maintain WHS reporting, analytics and performance data Partner with leaders to ensure compliance with Australian WHS legislation and best practice This role supports the full employee lifecycle - from onboarding and inductions through to ongoing training, wellbeing programs and continuous improvement initiatives. About you You will bring: Minimum 4 years' experience in a WHS role Strong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation Experience managing WorkCover claims and return-to-work programs Demonstrated experience in audits, risk management and compliance Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and coach leaders Cert IV in Workplace Health & Safety (or similar qualification) Current Working With Children Check, National Police Check and Driver's Licence Experience within community, government or purpose-driven environments will be highly regarded.
