You’ll learn from experienced engineers, contribute from day one, and enjoy flexibility through a supportive hybrid model About the role As a Graduate Engineer in the Annual Works Plan (AWP), you’ll take part in structured rotations across Asset Planning, Development, Delivery and Lifecycle Modelling & Governance, giving you wide‑ranging exposure to how rail infrastructure projects come to life and how they’re delivered safely and effectively. Your day‑to‑day work will include contributing to desktop assessments, site validations, AWP reporting, modelling activities and preparing project documentation, with your responsibilities evolving as you move through each rotation and gain confidence. Your first month will be spent mainly in the office, working side‑by‑side with Project Engineers and Project Managers as you build your knowledge, confidence and connections. Once you're settled, you’ll move into our hybrid model (three days in the office and two days from home) giving you the right balance of hands‑on learning, team support and flexibility as you grow in the role. About you You’re curious, collaborative and open‑minded about where you start. You enjoy solving problems, adapt well to change, and communicate with care. You’re IT‑savvy, ready to learn on site and in the office, and you value being part of a supportive team. This role is suitable for recent graduates or early‑career professionals with less than 12 months of relevant experience. Our ideal candidate will possess the following: · Completion of a relevant engineering degree (within the last 3 years) and eligibility for Engineers Australia membership. · Ability to apply engineering principles; produce clear technical reports. · Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and standards. · Strong time management to plan, schedule and deliver day‑to‑day tasks. · Basic understanding of project management and construction engineering. · Comfortable with data analysis and program reporting (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). · Willing to engage in hands‑on learning via site visits and regional fieldwork (driving across Victoria). · Valid driver’s licence (min.
