We have permanent part-time and casual opportunities available for motivated carers who are committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. About the Role As a Personal Care Assistant, you will work under the direction of the Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse to provide safe, respectful, and individualised care to our residents. You will play a vital role in supporting residents’ daily living needs while promoting dignity, choice, independence, and wellbeing. Key Responsibilities Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility assistance and mealtime support Support residents’ physical, emotional, social and cultural needs in line with care plans Foster an environment of respect, inclusion, privacy and independence for residents Accurately complete documentation, charts and care records in a timely manner Work collaboratively with nurses, care staff, allied health professionals and other team members Comply with organisational policies, aged care quality standards, WHS requirements and code of conduct About You You are a caring and reliable team player with a genuine commitment to supporting older people. You demonstrate empathy, professionalism and strong communication skills. Essential requirements: Certificate III or IV in Aged Care (or equivalent), or willingness to complete Ability to work under direction and within scope of practice Good verbal and written communication skills Understanding of resident rights, dignity and person-centred care Commitment to workplace health and safety and quality improvement Availability to work across a rotating roster (AM, PM, nights and weekends as required) Desirable: Previous experience in residential aged care Dementia care experience Basic computer literacy for documentation systems Why Join St Catherine’s?
