Roy Jr. is new frontier in inner-city hospitality. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, seven days a week, with a range of wholesome meals to enjoy from. Roy Jr. is located in London Circuit, Canberra. It is the perfect city stop to relax on the alfresco deck to watch the hustle and bustle go by. We are currently looking for qualified and talented Food and Beverage Managers . This a full-time position that will allow you to work with our kitchen team. Responsibilities: Overseeing the daily operations of the cafe, including food preparation, customer service, and sales. Developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract and retain customers. Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records of stock. Hiring, training, and scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage during busy periods. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment. Handling customer complaints and resolving any issues that arise in a timely and professional manner. Managing the cafe's budget to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness. Staying up to date with industry trends and developments to ensure the cafe remains competitive in the market. Creating and updating menus and making decisions about pricing and promotions. Building relationships with local suppliers and vendors to ensure access to quality ingredients and supplies. Qualifications: Previous managerial role/experience in a restaurant/café setting. Be able to work independently. Experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Great presentation and customer service skills. Willingness to be part of an enthusiastic and motivated team. Willingness to jump into any task required, cleaning, food preparation and customer service. Strong awareness of Hygiene & Food Safety Standards. Must always be well presented, have a great work ethic and the ability to perform well under pressure. A Positive can-do attitude and the ability to work nights & weekends. Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
