This role focuses on assisting customers, maintaining store presentation, processing transactions, and supporting day-to-day retail operations. The Retail Assistant represents McBurnie Group professionally and contributes to a positive customer experience while upholding company values. Key Requirements : Essential Customer-focused and friendly approach Ability to communicate clearly and professionally Basic numeracy and cash handling skills Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift light stock items safely Comfortable working in a customer-facing environment Desirable Previous retail or customer service experience Experience using POS systems Job Responsibility : Customer Service & Sales Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner Provide product information and respond to customer enquiries Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems Handle cash, EFTPOS, and basic reconciliation tasks Support upselling and add-on sales where appropriate Store Operations Maintain clean, organised, and well-presented retail and display areas Restock shelves and displays as required Assist with stock receiving, unpacking, and basic inventory checks Follow opening and closing procedures as directed Safety & Compliance Follow WHS and retail safety procedures Maintain a safe environment for customers and staff Report hazards, incidents, or security concerns Team & Workplace Conduct Work cooperatively with managers and team members Communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and colleagues Represent McBurnie Group positively at all times Job Functions : Retail Assistants Job Benefits : Monday to Friday.
