A job to be proud of: We currently have opportunities available in our Patient Transfer Services team as a full time or casual Community Transport Driver in the following locations: O’Connor Kelmscott Belmont Rockingham Mandurah You will be responsible for responding to pre-booked and non-emergency transport calls for patients who are clinically stable. Patients may be transported for a variety of reasons including leaving hospital to return home, transportation to an aged care facility or to a lower acuity hospital such as a rehabilitation unit or transfer to a medical facility or clinic for a pre-booked appointment. The full-time position includes 38 hours per week on a rotating roster, Monday to Friday, between 5:30 AM and 10:00 PM . How to Apply To apply for this opportunity, please click "Apply Now" and submit: A detailed cover letter outlining: Your motivation for applying Your preference for full-time or casual employment Your preferred location Your current resume What you'll do: Transport patients to and from given locations, assisting with mobility if necessary Undertake Community Transport transfers within the specified timeframes Transfer equipment items when required e.g. wheelchair, bags etc Following transfer routes to ensure transfers are completed in given timeframes Ensure vehicle check sheet and all other documentation is completed and compliant with St John WA Procedures each shift Adhere to the road rules and abide by the St John WA vehicle policy Report any unsafe conditions or incidents that occur and comply with all occupational safety and health policies and procedures Prepare the vehicle and ensure that is clean (externally and internally), fuelled, and that the seating configuration is fit for purpose for the relevant transfer What you'll need: Hold a current unrestricted driver’s license with no more than 6 demerit points Have a current Provide First Aid Certificate and Provide CPR Certificate Sound interpersonal and communication skills Professional and mature attitude with an outstanding work ethic Team focused with the ability to work autonomously Basic Microsoft and computer skills Experience working in the Aged Care or Disability Sector is highly desirable What’s in it for you?
