Candidates must have demonstrated experience in mental health OT and trauma-informed care . This role best suits OTs with a few years’ clinical experience , though we value depth of practice over number of years alone. This role is ideal for an OT who values autonomy, clinical integrity, and doing meaningful work with complex presentationswithout the burnout of inflexible hospital and government hours or unachievable KPIs. Our practice is highly relational and evidence-based, involving families, schools, GPs, teachers, support coordinators, and support teams to achieve realistic, sustainable outcomes. About the Role This is a Senior Mental Health OT role mostly in the NDIS space. This role comes with potential to step into leadership and management if you seek career progression. You may also explore the opportunity to join our medicolegal wing. As a Senior Mental Health OT, you'll work with adults and young people experiencing complex psychosocial disability and mental health needs, delivering high-quality OT services including: Functional Capacity Assessments (NDIS required documents) Ongoing therapeutic intervention in the community Capacity building and recovery-oriented practice Collaboration with families, support coordinators, and broader systems including justice system, hospitals, mental health teams You'll be trusted to manage your caseload thoughtfully, with flexibility around hours, location, and how you work best. Your work-life balance is encouraged. Responsibilities Provide trauma-informed, client-centred OT services across a diverse caseload. Work collaboratively with support coordinators, families, schools, support workers, GPs, and other stakeholders; upholding Bespoke OT’s person-centred philosophy. Deliver interventions which foster independence, progression toward goals, and long-term impact. Maintain high-quality documentation and reporting including provision of top-notch comprehensive functional capacity assessments. Contribute to our supportive team culture, bringing positivity and resilience balanced with authenticity. Work closely with our OT Assistant to support delivery of therapeutic interventions. Requirements Degree in Occupational Therapy and full AHPRA registration. Rights to live and work in Australia. WWCC & NDIS screening check. Very strong interpersonal and communication skills, with warm, approachable demeanour. Very strong organisational and time management skills, and accountability to set your own schedule. A growth mindset with the tendency to persevere (we don’t give up on clients who are reluctant, complex, or hard to engage…we persist thoughtfully). Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment whilst enjoying autonomy over your caseload. Valid driver's licence and access to reliable vehicle.
