Occupational Therapist - Community OT About the job Brisbane | Community-Based | OT-Led Sustainable Practice This might be for you if you love working with adults, care about meaningful outcomes, and want flexibility that genuinely works in real life. I’m Lisa, an Occupational Therapist and Director at Strive to Thrive Therapy. I still work clinically alongside our team, and I see too many capable OTs burn out, not because they weren’t good at their job, but because the structure around them didn’t support sustainable practice. We’re a fully mobile OT team supporting adults across Brisbane and surrounds. Our work is primarily NDIS-funded, with some aged care, and focuses on functional assessments, assistive technology, home modifications, and capacity building that creates practical, lasting change. We’re growing and are open to part-time and full-time permanent Occupational Therapists joining our team. What the role offers Fully mobile role with work-from-home flexibility Dedicated Monday team day with no face-to-face appointments In-person supervision and mentoring with me Full-time admin support for scheduling and coordination $1,500 annual PD allowance plus 3 days paid PD leave Internal training and growth opportunities as the team expands c/km travel reimbursement Phone and laptop provided Birthday day off A typical full-time week includes around 25 billable hours , supported by full admin assistance and a protected Monday team day for planning, documentation, supervision, coordination and reporting. Salary is tiered based on experience, with performance bonuses available. Who thrives here The Occupational Therapist who thrives at Strive to Thrive Therapy: Feels energised working in the community and is comfortable driving between visits as part of their day Takes ownership of their caseload and manages their week proactively, with support available Is ambitious and committed to their development, and welcomes feedback as part of improving their practice Takes pride in delivering meaningful, practical outcomes for clients Wants to contribute to a team that is intentionally building a sustainable model of community OT Is building a career with intention, not simply looking for their next job Who this role may not suit This role may not be the best fit for someone who: Prefers a clinic-based setting with minimal travel Is looking for a strictly predictable 9-5 with little variation across the week Feels uncomfortable working independently in a mobile community setting Is not interested in being part of a growing, developing team
