About the role We’re looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Thrift Shop Manager to support the daily operations of our vibrant Stawell store. This casual role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, has a passion for retail, and wants to contribute to meaningful community impact. Working closely with the Thrift Shop Manager, you’ll help lead a dedicated team of staff and volunteers to keep the store running smoothly, deliver outstanding customer service, and create a warm, welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors in Stawell, VIC. How you will make an impact Drive sales and customer engagement by processing donations, managing stock, supporting promotions, and assisting with pricing decisions. Deliver excellent customer service by responding to customer needs, supporting volunteers, and helping connect customers with the broader mission of The Salvation Army. Keep the store running efficiently through rostering, supervising volunteers, assisting with recruitment, and stepping in for the manager when needed. Maintain accurate administration and financial processes including cash handling, banking, and record‑keeping. Promote a safe, well-presented store by upholding WHS standards, arranging maintenance, and ensuring the store is secure at opening and closing.
