About the Role This is a senior, hands on leadership opportunity with full accountability for the organisation’s corporate services function. You will take ownership of finance operations, payroll governance, budgeting, reporting and vendor management, ensuring strong financial stewardship and operational discipline across the business. Reporting directly to the Board, you will provide clear, commercially sound insights while leading and supporting the team to ensure all financial activity is accurate, timely and aligned to strategic priorities. This role requires a leader who is equally comfortable operating at a strategic level and rolling up their sleeves to manage day to day financial detail. You will embed robust controls, strengthen compliance frameworks and drive continuous improvement across corporate services to support sustainable growth. Key responsibilities include: Managing end to end financial operations including accounts payable, receivable, cash flow oversight and general ledger integrity Preparing detailed monthly workpapers along with weekly and monthly reporting packs, BAS, payroll tax, superannuation compliance and STP finalisation Leading the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasting cycles and delivering insightful variance analysis to support Board level decision making Ensuring full compliance with tax legislation, financial regulations and audit requirements, maintaining strong governance standards Overseeing vendor relationships, purchase order controls and invoice approvals to ensure cost discipline and value for money Partnering with HR to manage payroll accuracy, onboarding and terminations, employee reimbursements and employment compliance Coordinating IT related expenditure, contracts and documentation to maintain cost visibility and accountability Supporting contract management processes and monitoring financial obligations to minimise risk exposure Driving process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives across corporate services to enhance efficiency, transparency and performance About You You are a confident and capable corporate services leader with strong financial acumen and the ability to communicate clearly at all levels of the organisation. You are hands on, commercially minded and take genuine ownership of outcomes. Comfortable operating across both strategy and detail, you bring professionalism, integrity and sound judgement to every decision. Your experience allows you to partner effectively across the business, providing trusted advice and practical solutions to senior leaders and the Board. You are naturally organised, proactive and solutions focused, with the ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and governance. You will bring: A degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related discipline CA or CPA qualification A minimum of five years’ experience in a corporate services or accounting management role, ideally within a small to mid sized business environment Strong analytical capability with well developed financial modelling and data interpretation skills Advanced proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office, with confidence navigating and improving financial systems Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor, guide and collaborate across teams Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and consistently meet deadlines Exceptional attention to detail, high ethical standards and a commitment to professional conduct A proactive, can do mindset with the ability to build strong, productive relationships across the organisation
