About the Role Reporting to the Operations Manager , you’ll oversee the full warehouse operation — from goods receipt to dispatch — while driving inventory integrity through SAP, leading & developing staff, and ensuring our customers get the exceptional service they expect. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a safe workplace, coordinating logistics, managing contractors, and ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and biosecurity standards. What You’ll Do Warehouse Leadership: Supervise, coordinate and participate in daily warehouse operations. Oversee receiving, documentation, storage and maintenance of inventory. Lead, coach and support warehouse and dispatch teams. Coordinate with internal departments and customers to keep operations moving smoothly. Maintain compliance with all safety, OHS and company regulations. Inspect warehouse facilities daily and ensure maintenance standards are met. Manage customer service requests and resolve issues quickly. Manage third‑party contractors when required. Oversee receipt, storage, inspection, testing and documentation of materials under Biosecurity Act requirements. Ensure SAP warehouse management (TR/TO) is up to date and closed on time. Inventory Management: Develop and implement strategies to optimise inventory levels. Perform regular stock checks and cycle counts. Generate and interpret SAP inventory reports, identifying discrepancies. Troubleshoot and correct data variances. Provide detailed recommendations for continuous improvement. Conduct monthly pallet reconciliations (CHEP, ofi, others). Logistics & Transport: Oversee export container movements and coordinate export calls from Carwarp and 3PL sites. Coordinate import container processing, labour, and reconciliations. Maintain purchase orders, pricing, and inventory records. Work with internal/external stakeholders to ensure service delivery. Resolve vendor invoice and purchase order issues before processing. Training & Team Development: Train and support staff in hand‑held device use and warehouse procedures. Ensure warehouse/dispatch teams are competent, compliant, and well supported. Provide hands‑on coaching and ad‑hoc training as needed. What You Bring Experience & Knowledge: Minimum 3 years in the food industry managing medium–large inventory operations. Experience with SAP and strong understanding of stock reconciliation. 2 years managing teams (contract or permanent). Exposure to FMCG preferred but not essential. Solid working knowledge of GMP and Australian OHS standards . Skills: Strong problem‑solving and fault‑finding abilities. High attention to detail and data accuracy. Excellent organisation, time management and multitasking skills. Confident communicator who can work across departments and stakeholders. Passion for numbers, analysis and process improvement.
