An established social enterprise delivering facilities and property services across metropolitan Melbourne is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join their growing team. This role combines hands-on grounds work with team supervision, supporting crews across a range of outdoor maintenance sites. About the Opportunity As the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor, you will support the day-to-day delivery of outdoor maintenance services across multiple locations. Working closely with field teams, you will coordinate daily tasks, maintain service standards and provide practical leadership to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on position, so you will regularly work alongside the team while supporting operations and client relationships. Your responsibilities will include: Supervising grounds maintenance teams across metro Melbourne sites Planning and coordinating daily work schedules Providing guidance, mentoring and feedback to team members Maintaining safety, quality and presentation standards Organising tools, materials and equipment for site works Building positive working relationships with clients and internal sh Identifying opportunities to support staff development Completing hands-on grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, horticulture, pressure cleaning and reactive outdoor works You will play an important role in helping the team operate with consistency, structure and pride in their work. Experience Required The successful candidate will bring practical experience from a grounds maintenance, landscaping or outdoor services environment, along with the ability to support operational teams. Key attributes include: Previous experience leading or guiding field crews Clear communication and ability to provide constructive direction A patient and practical leadership approach Strong organisation and reliability Pride in delivering consistent and high-quality outcomes Essential requirements Current driver’s licence WWCC Police Check NDIS Worker Screening Formal qualifications are not essential. Practical experience and leadership capability are highly valued.
