About the Role We are looking for experienced Boilermakers and Welders to join our specialist workshop team in Newcastle . This is a 100% workshop-based role , giving you a controlled environment, consistent hours, and opportunities for overtime. You will fabricate high-quality steel components for the rail industry , including structural frames, gantries, bogie parts, and specialized track infrastructure, all to strict rail safety and quality standards (AS/NZS) . Key Responsibilities Interpret technical drawings and blueprints for rail-specific projects. Heavy-gauge fabrication using MIG and Stick welding (FCAW/MMAW) . Marking out, cutting, grinding, and assembling steel components. Operate workshop machinery: overhead cranes, saws, presses, rollers . Ensure all work meets rail safety and quality standards . What We’re Looking For Trade Qualified: Cert III in Engineering (Fabrication) or equivalent. Experience: Previous heavy fabrication experience; rail or rolling stock experience is a bonus.
