A rapidly growing global apparel manufacturer is seeking a Head of Production Performance to bring structure, discipline, and visibility to its offshore production operations. With manufacturing across China and Vietnam, the business has experienced significant growth in recent years. As production complexity increases, the company is now investing in senior leadership to strengthen supplier performance, stabilise delivery reliability, and ensure scalable operations across its global supply base. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on building a production system that supports continued growth while improving delivery performance, quality outcomes, and supplier accountability. This role will take full ownership of production performance across key offshore suppliers, ensuring factories operate to clear standards and that delivery risks are identified and resolved early. Working closely with senior leadership, you will establish structured supplier management processes, improve visibility across in-flight production, and implement systems that reduce recurring operational issues. Key Responsibilities Supplier Performance & Accountability Lead structured production reviews with key offshore suppliers Set clear expectations around delivery timelines, quality standards, and reporting Establish measurable supplier performance metrics Identify performance risks early and implement corrective actions Escalate major supplier issues with clear analysis and solutions Production Visibility & Control Maintain full oversight of all in-flight production across suppliers Track key production milestones including materials readiness, bulk production start, and shipment Ensure delays are identified early and communicated clearly to internal stakeholders Investigate root causes of late deliveries and implement preventative solutions Delivery & Quality Performance Take ownership of delivery reliability across the production network Monitor quality performance and identify recurring defect trends Ensure corrective actions are implemented to prevent repeat issues Operational Improvement Identify recurring breakdowns in the production process Introduce systems and processes that strengthen operational discipline Improve milestone tracking and production transparency Work closely with internal systems teams to improve production visibility Vietnam Supplier Development Strengthen relationships between the Vietnam office and key suppliers Clarify expectations, communication standards, and responsibilities Support the development of suppliers capable of delivering stable production at scale What We’re Looking For Significant experience in apparel production leadership within offshore manufacturing environments Strong experience managing supplier networks across China (Vietnam highly advantageous) Proven track record improving delivery performance and production reliability Experience implementing structured supplier performance frameworks Strong ability to hold factories accountable while maintaining productive partnerships Highly analytical with strong problem-solving capability Comfortable managing complex production challenges and difficult supplier conversations Additional Requirements Willingness to travel regularly to China and Vietnam Mandarin or Vietnamese language capability highly regarded Why This Role Is Unique Join a growing global apparel manufacturing business Take ownership of production performance across a complex international supplier network Build systems and processes that support long-term scalable growth Work closely with senior leadership to transform production performance If you are a senior apparel production leader with deep offshore supplier experience, this role offers the opportunity to shape the production framework of a rapidly scaling business.
