The OpportunityThe Carriage House is an à la carte restaurant located within The Clayfield Retirement Village and we are looking to expand our team to assist with covering shifts and helping out where needed. Working closely with the Chef Manager, you'll work in a small team to prepare high-quality meals to residents & restaurant patrons. As a hands-on Chef, you'll have experience in volume catering with high standards of meal presentation. The residents are the heart of everything we do and the reason we come to work every day, their happiness is key to a successful overall operation and we are looking for someone who values this as much as we do.This is a casual position to assist with restaurant operations, bookings or functions! Availability on Wednesday evenings, Friday's and Sunday's are preferred. Availability will be asked on application. What we offer $37.43/hour including 25% casual loading ($29.94/hr casual loading) relevant award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances superannuation No early starts or very late nights! Be part of a friendly and supportive team in a role that offers genuine job satisfaction You will: Prepare, cook, present and deliver meals with high attention to detail to restaurant guests Monitor food safety plans and ensure the kitchen is adhering to all OH&S standards Manage stock - assist with ordering, stock rotation and stocktake etc. Manage the cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment Work with fellow Food & Beverage or Cook/Chef staff to ensure smooth operations What you'll bring Experience in Cook or Chef positions in a catering/kitchen/hospitality setting (e.g experience in RSLs, Bistros, cafes or restaurants) Certificate III in Commerical Cookery (required) A friendly and warm persona with a passion for food and great teamwork! Current Police check (required, but we can complete for you!)
